Our servers are managed and maintained 24 hours a day in a secure facility by our service provider. Data is backed up nightly and placed in an off-site vault. Online databases are stored in redundant RAID disk arrays, which means a single disk failure does not cause the system to go down or data to be lost. Having BuyMetrics host your system provides our customers a number of key advantages:

BuyMetrics has leveraged Microsoft technology to deliver affordable, reliable systems that are very easy to learn and use. BuyMetrics is implemented as an N-tiered web application using Microsoft’s ASP platform. The system is being converted to .NET in stages as sections of the system are scheduled for enhancement. Primary platforms are W/2000 Server, SQL Server 2000, and Biztalk 2000. Data warehouse functions are implemented via OLAP cubes using SQL Analysis Server. Components are coded in Visual Basic, and extensive use is made of both client and server scripting to achieve client-server-like interactivity and presentation.

ProLink is implemented on an identical ASP platform.  It also makes use of Microsoft Commerce Server components to manage the assembly and pricing of an order or bill of materials for a builder.

All external messaging is handled through Biztalk in combination with BuyMetrics’s Channel Exchange Application. CEA is a Java-based application that can be placed inside a customer’s firewall to support two-way, guaranteed one time delivery of messages with the customer’s back-office system. All customization of the integration path is done in Biztalk and CEA, which allows BuyMetrics to be integrated with virtually any system.
